Meet Taylor Rossi, Brightstar Care of Northern Ocean County's, Director of Nursing. Taylor has her Master of Science in Nursing degree from The College of New Jersey and went to undergraduate school at the University of Pittsburgh. Her knowledge and expertise in this field will be instrumental in keeping our clients, nurses, and caregivers safe and up-to-date on the latest evidence-based science.
 
Taylor was born and raised in Ocean County and is a lifelong Jersey Shore resident. She began her nursing career at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C. where she worked on a medical-surgical unit before it was converted to the COVID-19 unit when the pandemic began in 2020.  Working here, Taylor was a four-time recipient of the Spirit Award.  Taylor was nominated for this prestigious award by staff and patients because she supported the SPIRIT values of Service, Integrity, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork at the hospital.
 
After moving back to the Jersey Shore, she worked as a registered nurse at a family practice on Long Beach Island before working at Brightstar Care of Northern Ocean County. Taylor's knowledge of both the acute and outpatient allows her to see the big picture when it comes to home health care and her communication skills helps bridge the gap between our clients and the complex healthcare system. She believes that home health care is the future and has a passion for working with the older adult population. Taylor brings with her a disciplined work ethic and an ability to work well under stress in order to make informed decisions that will serve our clients well.
 
Our Director of Nursing also comes to us with a wide range of outstanding clinical skills, including: IV therapy, wound care, diabetes management, triage, injections/vaccinations, and blood draws. 

Mike is the co-owner of BrightStar Care of Northern Ocean County.  He takes on the Sales/Financial role for the BSC business.  Michael brings 30+years of experience in the IT/Sales field working for Fortune 500 Companies, small businesses and running his own business.  He also brings a high level of care and compassion to the sales side as he has cared for a dad battling cancer and a mom with Alzheimer’s.

Susan is Michael’s wife and co-owns BrightStar Care with her husband.  Before taking on the Operations side of the business, Susan spent 15+ years as a Middle School Teacher and more recently worked for a local marketing firm.  The idea for the business came because as Susan’s mom was aging, Michael, Susan and the family wondered where a family would go for quality help.  As they researched various Home Health Care Companies, the answer became clear.  BrightStar provided the higher standard The Petzolds wanted to be associated with!
