BrightStar Care Owner’s, Jana and Uday Roy, hope to distribute an amount equal to tens of thousands of dollars annually to charities, community events, and various local humanitarian organizations.
The Roy’s hope these donations can be part of a BrightStar legacy that honors every person they care for.
“As caregivers, we become very close to the people and families we serve.
We want these gifts to honor our clients and for our clients to feel that they are also a part of a legacy that gives back to the community and is making a difference.” says Jana Roy who is also a registered nurse.
Uday adds, “We have recently, voluntarily, set the minimum wage to $10 for our hundreds of employees working up to 40 hours per week, also offered health benefits including dental and vision to all our employees and now our pledge to donate tens of thousands of dollars to various local charities on behalf of our clients should help our neighborhoods and communities.
