    Patricia A. Castillo, a native of the Rio Grande Valley, has been an essential part of BrightStar Care for 12 years, playing a pivotal role in establishing our RGV location. She embarked on her journey with BrightStar Care in the Rio Grande Valley office, initially serving in Office Administration before swiftly ascending to the role of Branch Manager. Patricia brings a wealth of experience in healthcare and operations, having previously owned and operated her own business for over 10 years. Currently, she holds the privilege of overseeing the daily operations of the RGV office, ensuring the delivery of consistently outstanding service to our clients and fostering positive employee relations. Patricia strives to make sure the staff stays focused on providing the best patient care for our clients and deliver high quality patient care. Thriving in the fast-paced environment of this industry, Patricia cherishes the opportunity to collaborate with our exceptional clinicians.     Veronica Tamez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas and has been an integral part of our Brightstar Care team for 11 years. Her journey at Brightstar began in the Human Resources department, where after 4 years, she was promoted to Branch Manager for BrightStar Care of Laredo and appointed as the Administrator for PW Health Services. In this dual role, Veronica has played a vital role in ensuring the success of both clients and clinicians. With over 11 years of experience and a track record of completing hundreds of projects, she possesses the ability to work effectively, listen to ideas, and assist in implementing changes necessary for the successful completion of any project. Following a rewarding career in Home Health Care, Veronica now focuses on coaching and training other team members to achieve similar levels of success.

    Director of Nursing (DON)
    Fidel Becerra Jr. is a dedicated healthcare professional with a versatile skill set and a proven history of success. Armed with an Associate Degree in Nursing from Laredo College and a solid foundation in health sciences, Fidel brings together technical expertise and personal qualities to excel in various roles. Over the span of a decade, he has amassed experience across multiple fields, including customer service, bookkeeping, property management, and pharmacy technology, refining his abilities in multitasking, time management, and customer relations. Proficient in a range of software applications, from Microsoft Office suite to specialized pharmacy software, Fidel demonstrates an aptitude for adapting swiftly to new technologies and environments.

    Throughout his career, Fidel has showcased exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism in diverse settings, delivering top-tier customer service and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations, notably during his 11 months of experience in emergency nursing. Currently serving as the Director of Nursing for BrightStar Care Laredo and Rio Grande Valley, Fidel provides leadership in nursing operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and the provision of compassionate patient care. Since November 2019, April has served as Intake/Medicare Coordinator and Human Resources personnel, overseeing preadmission, admission, and utilization reviews to ensure optimal patient care. In addition to her responsibilities in patient care, April plays a crucial role in fostering positive relationships with referral sources and healthcare professionals while ensuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. With prior experience in various healthcare roles, April has demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, communication abilities, and proficiency in managing administrative tasks.
