Our Director of Nursing, Olga Whyte, has always been our hero: a guiding light to our team, caring and compassionate with our clients and an unwavering advocate for patients and staff. Today, she is flying to Poland to work with refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. She is meeting other supporters at the airport, and will be bringing with her as many medical necessities and toys as she can carry.
Olga, a native of Ukraine and mother to a young son, said she just couldn't sit at home and watch the devastation of hospitals being shelled. Knowing that what people will need most right now is support, medical attention and supplies, she wasted no time and arranged the trip with a local contact.
