Our Spinal Cord Injury Caregiving Stories:
One of our recent spinal cord injury (SPI) clients was injured in a snowboarding accident 7 or 8 years ago. He loves Utah and wanted to stay indefinitely but the cold was too much for him and he is presently relocating to California. He has been well cared for during the last 15 months by Shirley, Margie, Maria, Andie and Kim. Another client suffered her spinal cord trauma three decades ago and went on to marry and raise a family of 4 sons who are now grown. Many CNAs for BrightStar Care have cared for this Murray client during her time with us. Finally our SPI client in Draper was actually one of our first clients. His car accident happened almost two decades ago. Nurses and CNAs assist in the morning and evening seven days a week. This client enjoys his five (count them) cats and spends time each day at his computer. He moved here from Georgia to be near family. BrightStar Care does very well in our role as caregivers for spinal cord injury clients. In 2021 we plan to add many more Spinal Cord Injury clients to our service.
