BrightStar Care of Pittsburgh Celebrates National Nurses Week - Montgomery County Nurse Recognition

Thank You to Our Pittsburgh Home Health Care Nursing Team

Nurses aren’t angels, but they may be the closest thing we have in the workplace.

For 12 of past 13 years, nurses have topped the Gallup Poll of the most trustworthy professionals. Patients and their families know why.

While doctors diagnose illnesses and prescribe medication, surgery or other treatment, it’s often nurses who explain medical procedures, help manage symptoms, respond to emergencies, listen to family concerns, allay patient fears, soothe worries and find ways to make difficult situations bearable.

A nurse’s mission is not only to save lives, but to promote and preserve quality of life.

We are very grateful to have an exceptionally compassionate Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care of Pittsburgh and want to recognize her during National Nurses Week for all her contribution and commitment to providing our clients with a higher standard of care.

Meet our Home Health Care Nursing Team:

Jana Roy RN - Vice President, Clinical

Jana worked as an RN for years with big-name hospitals in and around the Pittsburgh area where she gained firsthand experience in patient care. While working with the elderly and the ill, Jana also felt the need for a compassionate and caring homecare agency in our area. Jana knows what trauma families face when a patient goes home after a hospital stay but cannot arrange a dependable caregiver. This understanding prompted Jana to join the BrightStar family – an organization that known nationwide for its quality and unprecedented commitment to senior and child care!
Under Jana's dedicated leadership, BrightStar of Pittsburgh is a family of many registered nurses, LPN, CNAs and caregivers, backed up by a group of committed office managers for whom nothing is more important that delivering quality care to the clients.

Danielle Gjurich, DON of South OperationsDanielleDanielle_G_pic

Danielle received her RN from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA.
Working for BrightStar has been one of the most rewarding positions she has taken on.
The one-on-one care and daily interactions with the clients is what she enjoys most about home health nursing. She looks forward to growing professionally and personally with BrightStar.
When she isn’t working, you can find Danielle white water kayaking, hitting the slopes, or just enjoying the outdoors with her dog, Goose.

Jasmin Nagy, DON of North Operations JasminJasmin_Pic

Jasmin was a Certified Nursing Assistant for two years when she realized that she wanted to become a nurse. She received her Associates of Nursing degree from Fairmont State University and completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing in May 2015. All of her nursing experience was gained in Cardiac, Oncology, and now Home Health. She strongly believes that BrightStar is where she belongs because she is finally able to provide patient-centered care in our client’s homes. Her most cherished aspect is that she can form bonds and long term relationships with her patients while providing care. Jasmin states, “They say that home is where the heart is and the fact that I can treat patients and make their day while at home, gives me the satisfaction in my job to last a lifetime. I’m honored to be one of BrightStar’s Directors of Nursing here in Butler Co. and look forward to making a difference in our patient’s lives.”
