Providing RN oversight on every case from day one
Nicole Sorensen, RN, MSN, PNP-BC
How long have you been a Nurse?
I have been a nurse for more than 13 years and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 2 years. I received my bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University and my master’s degree from California State University-Fresno.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
As a nurse, I have been exposed to a broad spectrum of clinical fields. I feel that I understand the needs of infants all the way through seniors. My experiences as a Pediatric Nurse has taught me how to manage under the most extreme pressures while maintaining a high level of compassion and care. I am also a Nursing Instructor for the College of Southern Idaho, which allows me to share my experiences to nursing students so that they can better understand the needs of their patients.
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
Home care allows the patient to stay comfortably and safely in their home, creating an optimal environment for healing. Helping the patient maintain their independence while achieving maximum health is the most rewarding part of my job.
I am Making More Possible for our BrightStar Care® clients by...
Maintaining close working relationships with my clients and their families as well as my support staff. Developing the skills of our caregivers to ensure our clients receive the highest quality of care is top priority.
