The Owners – Husband and Wife Team (Jim Boone and Lisa Marie Swiatkowski, RN, LHRM)
Our BrightStar Care Administrative Team
Lisa Marie Swiatkowski, RN, LHRM, Co-Owner, DON
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 20 years and have dedicated my life to helping those in need. My experience includes working in Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Urgent Care Centers, and running the American Red Cross Nurse Assistant Training Programs for three states. My true love has always been Home Care. I feel privileged to be invited into a client’s home and to be trusted to provide care for those in need. It is so rewarding to get calls from family members expressing their gratitude for seeing improvements in their loved one’s health and wellbeing, the conversation with a husband that can once again get out to play golf knowing he has a caregiver that can stay with his wife who is suffering from Dementia, or the lady who could no longer drive but now has a BrightStar companion to take her to hair and nail appointments or make the trip to the ice cream store for a weekly treat. Honestly, I could go on and on with the stories, but I believe you can see why I truly love caring for people.

Jim Boone, Co-Owner
Sir Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” I have always had a passion for helping others; especially when the help is being provided for someone who honestly can’t help themselves. As a young boy my parents taught me the there is no greater feeling than to look back on the efforts of a hard day’s work and see the fruits of your labor; and there is no greater reward than for one’s labor to be in service to others. Over the past several years, I have witnessed within my own family the impact of aging grandparents. To see their needs change, and the impact of those changing needs have on the lives of my parents and family members. When Lisa Marie approached me about the opportunity to own a Home Care Agency, I knew it was something we had to pursue.
Susan Johnson, Human Resources Assistant
Human Resources has become a passion of mine, it is a rewarding career where I can make a difference in people’s lives. I have had the opportunity to refine my skills in every aspect of Human Resources for several years and continue to do so here at BrightStar Care. Working for Bright Star Care of Venice and Port Charlotte has been a very positive experience. We are a company that truly practices our core values, and has a whole-hearted dedication to serving our community and our stellar team of employees; we are truly a family. Outside of work, am very blessed to be able to give my time to several organizations at a local/national/international level.
Kimberly Franklin, Customer Care Manager
I am originally from Rock Hill, SC. I have been in the medical field over 27 years, most recently serving as a Medical Call Center Supervisor for seven medical practices and two dental practices. As Customer Care Manager here at BrightStar Care, it is my pleasure to match the needs of clients with one of our skilled caregivers. My mom suffered a severe stroke at the age of 49 and passed away at 52. During those last years, months, and moments, I know she was comfortable and taken care of, because of the team of caregivers and nurses around her. I love being able to help people get the care they need. I am happy to be part of the Brightstar Care Team.
