How long have you been a Nurse?
I have been a RN for 19 years. I started out like most RNs in the hospital setting but learned that home care was my passion.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
I have worked in home care for 17 years with the last 6 years focused on staff education, competence and clinical technology. I am certified in Infusion Therapy and am a member of the INS. I also have may OASIS certification which can help in partnering with Medicare based home care agencies. I have been a member of the HHQI and QI Scholars for the NH Home Care Association. I represented the state of NH for NAHC in Washington DC at “50 Nurses for 50 States” to help reduce Medicare cuts home care reimbursement. I served on the Nursing Advisory Committee to Great Bay Community College. I have taken the lead role on clinical informatics projects and education at my previous employer as well as being a reference client and part of the Core Contributor Group to the software company.
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about education and love to use technology to make clinical practices more efficient.
