Providing RN oversight on every case from day one
Mary-Loving Harman, RN
How long have you been a Nurse?
I began this journey 34 years ago, first as a CNA, then working as an LVN. Fourteen years later I was fortunate to return to school and receive my RN.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
I have worked in many different areas of patient care and at many levels. I began my nursing career in the nursing home setting. From there, I moved to the hospital setting. My experiences included work in medical-surgical units and high risk obstetrics at John Peter Smith Hospital in Tarrant County. I continued working my way through the different hospital departments with stints in Labor and Delivery as well as the Emergency Dept. I later spent some time working in urgent care centers and then worked as a traveling Charge Nurse RN in New Mexico and California for a year. After returning to Texas, I worked in Day Surgery Centers, and then on to Pain Management and Procedure Centers. There I worked as a Regional Nurse Manager overseeing the Tarrant and Johnson County centers. My management experiences ranged from Interim ED Manager, Team Lead, Trauma Coordinator and Regional Nurse Manager.
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
Being part of a team that believes in delivering a high quality standard of care for our clients every day is very important to me. I seek to learn something new every day while assisting our caregivers provide the safest care possible for our clients.
I provide A Higher Standard of Care for our BrightStar Care® clients by…
Seeing each person as an individual with their unique needs and desires. I strive to listen to the client and their family members for their home care goals; and then how we can work to achieve them with an individualized care plan.
