My sister and I had/have a wonderful experience with BrightStar. We suddenly needed immediate 24 hour care for our 95 year-old mother a few weeks ago, and Gladys at BrightStar was the first person and first agency to get back to us. By 4PM that same day an aide was with my mother in her assisted living facility and we had 24 hour care. Gladys ensured the aides we worked with were the best (Charlene, Dorian, Tara, Leca) and they continue to manage my mother’s care as she enters hospice care in her apartment. She also ensured we had 24 hour continuous coverage during the recent winter storm. At any time, day or night or weekend, Gladys was there to answer our questions and ensure our mother was safe, well cared for and comfortable. We are grateful to Gladys and the BrightStar aides for their continued support and commitment to the care of our mother during this challenging time.

I had a great experience hiring a caregiver for my dad with dementia for about 6 months. I interviewed a few companies and BrightStar was the clear stand-out given the level of oversight - especially since I live across the country . It was the only company that had a supervisor periodically visit to observe firsthand how things were going. Plus, it was reassuring to know that an RN oversees the caregivers. The caregiver placed with my dad, Alisha W., was truly amazing. She was extremely patient and upbeat when faced with challenging circumstances. She had such a great attitude and went above and beyond, whether it was taking him on fun outings, staying late to take him to a doctor’s appointment (even when I said no problem to send him home in a taxi), or noticing when he had a new medical issue that needed attention. She was able to establish rapport and a meaningful relationship with him when most of his other relationships fell away due to his condition. She even managed to make him feel comfortable using some personal care products for the first time, which was quite a feat.I feel so lucky to have Alisha in my dad’s life! The company was also efficient and communicative with scheduling information and billing. Top-notch.

We love the care my father received from Brightstar! Charlene is amazing and very compassionate! She would reach out and communicate with any changes to his care. She would call to find out how he was doing anytime he took ill. She set us up with the most loving caregiver anyone could ask for - Charolette. Hands down the most professional, empathetic, hard-working health care professionals I’ve had the privilege to partner with for my Mom’s care. I’ve worked with other agencies and just assumed that I had to settle for disinterested companions who tolerated Mom; but I’ve experienced nothing but competent, engaged, empathetic companions who communicate with me and love on my Mom.
