Local owners Ed and Carolyn Jones each bring a wealth of professional experience to BrightStar of Stroudsburg. Carolyn is a seasoned nursing executive and an adjunct professor for RN and LPN students at Northampton Community College. Ed served as a senior HR executive in Fortune 100 corporate settings.

Over the years, Ed and Carolyn had their own experiences with homecare, twice helping close friends with terminal cancer, and then again when Carolyn’s mom had her leg amputated. They always wanted to work together in a community-based business, and these experiences taught them that high-quality home healthcare would serve the community in a very meaningful way.

The Stroudsburg BrightStar team is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout Monroe and Carbon counties, including Stroudsburg, Tobyhanna, Mt. Pocono, Marshalls Creek, the West End, Lehighton, Jim Thorpe, Palmerton and the Slate Belt Area. Our Nurse Manager will ensure that each client and family receives the highest level of care and service.

About the Owners

Carolyn Jones, RNC, is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Psychiatric Nurses Association. She holds MSN and MBA degrees from DeSales University in Allentown, where she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau (the Honor Society of Nursing) and named an Eastern Pennsylvania Healthcare Executive Network (EPAHEN) finalist in Dr. Hal Dolenga’s Emerging Leader Award Program. She received her BSN from East Stroudsburg University and also holds a BS in healthcare management.

Ed Jones holds an MS in organizational development and a BS in physics, mathematics and psychology. He is a published author and a sought-after presenter to national and international training, human resource management and organizational development conventions.
