Norma Feliciano, a BrightStar caregiver with the Reno homecare provider, bravely shared her personal struggle with her father suffering from dementia at her local Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk.

Local owner Peter Morris is a native of England whose career in healthcare sales brought him to the U.S. nearly 20 years ago. In that time, he has faced the worries of caring for loved ones both near and far, from relatives overseas to his own daughter’s challenges with type 1 diabetes here at home. Recently, he was even in need of homecare himself, after 30 years of rugby earned him a total knee replacement.

Both his personal and professional experiences kept leading Peter back to the same notion: It shouldn’t be so hard for families to find and retain the care their loved ones need and deserve — at any age. It’s a notion that ultimately led him to open BrightStar of Reno.
