Sini Stjernsward Ross, owner of BrightStar of Southern Twin Cities, is quite the Renaissance woman. While attending Architecture school at the U of Minnesota, Sini met a Swedish exchange student with whom she ended up moving to Sweden. In Sweden, Sini worked as a successful architect. After losing her position in the wake of serious economic unrest in Sweden, Sini gathered herself and started a Western Saddlery import store. She moved in saddles, boots and clothing to sell to every Nordic country. Her business boomed and she opened an additional store. Once she even helicoptered in a western saddle for some very needy Swedish Laplanders driving reindeer on horseback.

After selling her business and moving back to the States, Sini worked for Xerox in sales and then helped a customer start a successful marketing business. Yearning for a way to make a difference in other’s lives, Sini invested in opening BrightStar after experiencing the benefits of Home Health Care while her husband’s family cared for her mother-in-law, Nancy. Nancy did not thrive in an assisted living setting and wanted nothing more than to be at home during her last years and remain close to her family, friends and her darling puppy. Home Health Care provided that in-home medical and non-medical care to make Nancy’s wish possible. Nancy experience was the inspiration for investing in BrightStar and her legacy lives through the clients we serve.

The reaffirming factor in making the decision to launch this business is the tremendous feedback and thank you letters that we receive from our clients and their families. Starting a business is not for the faint of heart, but by making a positive impact in the lives of others…our care-giving passion is ignited and energizes us to make more possible for the families we serve.
