Eat to End Alzheimer’s Disease in Nassau County

June 15, 2018

BrightStar Care of North Shore Nassau County is Supporting the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day

On June 21, 2018, which is the longest day of the year and summer solstice, thousands of people will join together to show their love for those affected by Alzheimer's disease. You can be one of them!

On The Longest Day, the Long Island Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is teaming up with Chipotle Mexican Grill for a fundraiser to support Alzheimer’s research. Just stop by your local Chipotle on June 21 from 10:45 am to 10:00 pm, tell your cashier that you support Alzheimer’s disease research, and half of your proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia — a group of brain disorders that cause the loss of intellectual and social skills. In Alzheimer's disease, the brain cells degenerate and die, causing a steady decline in memory and mental function.

BrightStar Care of North Shore Nassau County is here to help families with caregiving for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
