My mom is the primary caregiver to my 91 year-old grandmother. Each and every day, she makes at least three trips to and from her home to take her meals, help her bathe, run errands with her, clean her house and to do her laundry. She is so very thankful that 'Nanaw' is still at home. Each and every day that she is safe in her own home is a blessing. Some days, she seems to be a little more confused than other days.
I urge my mom to make a list of questions to ask the Neurologist on their next visit. Here is the problem: mom cannot ask these questions in front of my grandmother because she does not want to offend her.
And, at the same time, there is never enough time to ask all of the questions she has listed since their last visit.
Do you find yourself in the same position? If so, I strongly urge you to attend "Coffee with Kodsi." This popular event is a Q&A with Dr. Matthew Kodsi, Neurologist and area expert on dementia care. His casual, easy-going style allows the audience to ask anything and everything they want to know about dementia and dementia care! I have attended these events in the past and I always leave with so much information to share with my family, caregivers and clients.
The event takes place on February 19, 2016 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Morning Pointe at Greenbriar Cove. 9650 Leyland Drive, Ooltewah, TN 37363
Light breakfast provided. Please RSVP to 423-396-6999. There is no charge to attend the event.
