Take a Drive in the Mountains!

It’s no surprise that Colorado offers some of the BEST views in the country! From mountains to lakes, to the golden color of the aspen trees your breath will surely be taken away at the vast beauty of this state! Here are some of our favorite drives if you’re wanting to get away from the city!

Guanella Pass is great to see the fall colors without going too far into the mountains! You’re able to see Mount Evans and Mount Bierstadt in the distance while experiencing the explosion of aspen colors! You start in Georgetown and end up by Grant! It is 2WD accessible!

Independence Pass: Used as a “short cut” to Aspen, this road climbs to 12,095 feet and features gorgeous mountain views and lots of aspens around every corner! It is 2WD accessible!

Last Dollar Road: A dirt, narrow, and bumpy road from Ridgway to Telluride features miles of views of the San Juan Mountains and the fall foliage. More suited for your adventurous side, this road can be handled by a high clearance 2WD if dry. But best to use caution and avoid if rain is forecasted.

See Fall Foliage Right Here in the City!

Don’t have time to take a trip into the mountains? No worries! You don’t have to go far to see the beauty of fall colors! Denver’s parks are filled with gorgeous trees, lakes, and mountain views! Here are some of our favorites!

Washington Park (Click here for directions): Offers two lakes with a running path through the trees.

Sloan’s Lake (Click here for directions): Denver’s largest lake that settled in a tree-filled park with mountain views.
