In 2021, I watched my parents walk through one of the hardest years of their lives—seven funerals. Seven goodbyes. Each one left a mark, but none more than the most recent: my grandmother, who passed away on October 25th.
She had been living in assisted living, suffering from severe Alzheimer’s. Watching her decline was hard and the stress it put on the family was heavy. She was once so full of life, and seeing her slowly fade was a painful reminder of how important quality care is—not just for the person suffering, but for the entire family.
I started BrightStar Care because I experienced firsthand what families go through. I witnessed the emotional toll, the confusion, the exhaustion, and felt the heartbreak. I wanted to create something that could be a source of light, support, and dignity for families in their most vulnerable moments.
BrightStar Care isn’t just a business to me—it’s a mission. It’s a way to honor my grandmother and all the loved ones we’ve lost. It’s a promise to families that they don’t have to walk this journey alone. We’re here to provide compassionate, professional home care that treats every client like family.
Because at the end of the day, this work is personal. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
