Ilda Ramirez
CEO/Owner BrightStar Care Oshkosh/Fond Du LacMy journey in healthcare began in 1996, inspired by a promise I made to my grandmother—to care for others with the same compassion and dedication I gave to her. What started as a role as a Certified Nursing Assistant has grown into nearly three decades of experience and a lifelong passion for helping others live with dignity and independence.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with individuals and families across many levels of care, eventually becoming an Assisted Living Administrator. These experiences deepened my commitment to supporting people in remaining safely and comfortably in their own homes—surrounded by familiarity, loved ones, and a sense of control over their lives.
I believe that every person deserves to be treated with respect, empathy, and kindness—the same way I’d want my own family to be treated. That philosophy guides every decision I make and every service I offer.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and reconnecting with nature through hiking. These moments recharge my spirit and remind me why I do what I do every day.

Renee Holdren, RN, Holistic Health Nurse
Director of NursingWith over 22 years of nursing experience, I’ve had the honor of caring for patients of all ages—from newborns to the elderly—across a wide range of healthcare settings. For the past four years, I’ve proudly served as Director of Nursing at BrightStar, where I work closely with my amazing colleague, Jessica, to ensure every client receives compassionate, high-quality care.
Home health care is especially close to my heart because it empowers individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes. I’m passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with our clients and their families—supporting not only their physical health but also their overall well-being and quality of life.
I am also certified in holistic health nursing, which allows me to take a whole-person approach to care—addressing mind, body, and lifestyle for truly comprehensive support.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our four wonderful kids, and our beloved pets (one dog and two cats!). Staying active is important to me—whether it’s working out, camping, gardening, cooking nutritious meals, or cheering at my kids’ sporting events.

Jessica Syring RN, DON
Registered NurseI have been a registered nurse for over 23 years. I started my career in the neonatal intensive care unit caring for the most fragile of infants and then to caring for people of all ages in their homes as a home health and hospice nurse. I have been with Brightstar since 2023 where I currently share the roll of Director of Nursing with a wonderful nurse, Renee. Renee and I have had the privilege of working together in other rolls over the past 22 years and we make a great team! I truly enjoy working in home health as it is my goal to help people stay safely in their homes for as long as possible. This promotes happiness, healing and an overall sense of wellbeing.
Outside of nursing, I keep busy with my husband, our three children, three dogs, two cats and lots of chickens! As family, we enjoy traveling, camping and spending lots of time outdoors. One of our favorite places to visit is Glacier National Park in Montana. As a promoter of self-care, it is important to me to stay active and healthy. This allows me to bring the best care I can to my patients.
