HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A NURSE?
My health care began in 1984 as a CNA in LTC. I became an LPN in 1991 as a Coronary Care nurse in a hospital setting. I have worked most of my career as a case manager, a director in home care and assisted living facilities. I have been a licensed nurse for 28 years. I received my bach elor’s degree from Bemidji State University and my Integrative Health and Healing AD from Anoka Ramsey Community College.
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO BRIGHTSTAR CARE?
I bring knowledge and experience working with a wide range of home care clients throughout the metro area of Minneapolis and St Paul. My studies of Integrative therapies consider the holistic practice of looking at everyone as having a unique individual comprised of; mind, body and spirit. Through active listening, personal awareness and conjunctive healing methods clients can customize their own healing processes. One of my favorite aspects of integrative therapy is using music. I am singer and song writer and have proven studies that music therapy can offer advantages to patients of all ages, especially seniors with Dementia.
WHAT ASPECT OF YOUR JOB ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I am passionate about providing excellent care and expertise through our care team that is trained and supported in delivering on that promise. I am passionate about client satisfaction and loyal to assist them in maintaining a safe, caring environment.
