Lorelei Palemine, RN, BSN – Director of NursingLorelei Palemine-DON

Lorelei was born and raised in the Philippines where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1994. She has a wonderful husband and 3 children.
Her inspiration to become a nurse began when her mother, at a very young age, was diagnosed and past away from breast Cancer. Prior to coming to BrightStar over a year ago, Lorelei worked as the Assistant Director of Nursing at Heritage Harbor,
skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Anne Arundel County, for many years.
Early in her career, she discovered her calling with the geriatric population.
As BrightStar's Director of Nursing she oversees all client cases and is responsible for staff training and the quality of care BrightStar is known for.
She is completely dedicated to her clients and their families.

Sharon Musterman – Client Marketing Liaison Sharon Musterman, Client Marketing Liaison

Sharon was born and raised in Anne Arundel County and has also lived on the Maryland Eastern Shore.
She has worked in business development in the healthcare industry for 17 years.
Sharon’s experience includes assisted living facilities, hospice and private duty home care. During her 4 years at Brightstar Sharon has been instrumental in developing, creating and delivering solutions for our clients. “My position allows me to be one of the first people our clients meet from BrightStar. My job is to make them feel at ease so we can gather the information we need to develop the right home care solution for their needs”

Suzanne Smith- Billing SpecialistIMG_0127

Suzanne, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BA in Accounting.
She previously worked for Coopers & Lybrand and the Visiting Nurses Association in Connecticut.
Suzanne has been an active supporter of various community organizations, including a learning cooperative, the high school marching band and her religious congregation. Suzanne is the Billing Specialist for both the Anne Arundel County and Eastern Shore offices.
She generates the weekly invoices, submits claims to insurance and worker’s compensation companies, as well as manages payroll.
Suzanne started working at BrightStar in December 2009, while also raising her two high school children and being a part-time caregiver for her father.

Valerie Craver- Personnel CoordinatorValerie Craver

Valerie joined BrightStar as our Personnel Coordinator for both the Eastern Shore and Anne Arundel offices. She is responsible for collecting and overseeing all required documentation for our staff. We take pride in our qualified staff and Valerie plays an important role in keeping everyone current with Licenses, CPR, Insurances and other things that enable them to serve our clients. Being in the Healthcare for a number of years as a Medical Biller, Valerie is an asset to our team.

Kathryn Price – Branch ManagerKathryn Price, Branch Manager

Kat was born and raised in Pennsylvania and relocated to Maryland 15 years ago. She has worked with seniors for over 30 years. She spent 10 years in skilled and over 20 years in Assisted Living working with residents with Alzheimer’s Disease. She managed a Dementia Unit for 20 years.

I enjoy being the Branch Manager of Brightstar which gives me the opportunity to continue my passion for working with Seniors!

Maryjane McGill – Client Care CoordinatorMaryjane McGill, Office Coordinator

I grew up in Alabama until age 10, moved to Maryland. I have 3 grown children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. I have worked helping others; I worked for 5 years for a homeless shelter helping others get their lives back in order. I have assisted several family members as caregiver. Went back to school and become certified in Gerontology, when to work for an assisted living as a weekend manager. I have worked for Brightstar for 5 plus years as office coordinator.

 

Carol Jones – RecruiterCarol Jones, Recruiter

Carol was born and raised in Laurel MD.
She has lived in Anne Arundel County for the greater part of her life.
She has been in the Healthcare field for almost 18 years, from being an energetic caregiver to an ambitious Manager in Assisted Living. Her passion is helping people and making sure they receive the respect and dignity they deserve.
She recently started as the Recruiter here at BrightStar. We have the benefit of knowing that she will personally strive to Recruit suitable, respectable and qualified employees to assist with our clients.
