Choosing a Qualified Caregiver

By: Karen Pinderski, owner of BrightStar Care of Barrington & McHenry County

As the 85+ population is projected to increase from 5.7 million in 2011 to 14.1 million in year 2040, our “Forever Young” generation is searching for new ways to hold onto their independence as they adjust to the new needs of their daily lives. With the right tools and tactics, from senior safe technology to household  technology updates, increased physical fitness, remaining active and involved, seniors can feel secure living independently for years to come while keeping the worry of their family members at bay. While every senior’s needs differ, there are multiple options to keep our loved ones living independently and safely inside and outside the  home.
