  • Giselle Bardwell

    CEO
Giselle is passionate about helping our community succeed—from ensuring our employees can earn a decent wage so they can take care of their families to ensuring that our seniors know they can age in place safely at home.

Family has always been near and dear for Giselle. In 2016, she cared for her mother when she suffered a mild heart attack. As the only local sibling able to help her, Giselle experienced first-hand the difficulty of balancing the needs of a family, a career and caring for an aging parent simultaneously.

“This experience perfectly illustrated both the need and the opportunity in the market. It crystallized for me the value and relief that in-home care services can bring to families who want reliable care and peace of mind for their loved ones."

For years, Giselle has been an entrepreur at heart. From starting from one of the first online bridal businesses in the nation, to opening the Cleveland BrightStar Care office, she has alway been invested in giving people a helping hand. “I want to make a difference in other people’s lives – our customers and caregivers alike."

  • David Bardwell

    COO
David’s favorite days are when he’s meeting clients face-to-face. “It reminds me why we do what we do.” David primarily oversees back-office operations, but you’ll frequently find him introducing caregivers to clients and negotiating new business agreements with our community partners.

When David was a teenager, several of his relatives lived with his family during their final years. He was amazed that these adults under his parents’ care needed the same level of care and attention as his younger siblings at the time.

“It wasn’t until more recently that I really began to appreciate the time and effort that my parents devoted to caring for my great-aunt, uncle and grandmother during their time of need."

David's drive comes from the desire to improve the lives of our clients and their families. David aim is for BrightStar Care to become Cleveland’s most trusted name for in-home care and medical staffing.
