GET THE MOST FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE VISIT – COURSE OBJECTIVES
People often feel rushed in healthcare visits. The stress can make it hard to remember everything on the agenda to discuss. Then, visits often end before key questions are answered. Sometimes in the rush, the answers and instructions aren’t clear or aren’t remembered. A technique designed in collaboration with physicians has helped many people more confidently navigate the healthcare system. The attendees will learn:

> Learn how to make the minutes in a doctor visit efficient.
> Develop a plan to enhance communication during a healthcare visit.
> Expand skills to define symptoms in a way that speeds medical provider decision making.

WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT MEDICATIONS? – COURSE OBJECTIVES

Learn to identify functional changes that could be medication-related. Take an active role in preventing modifiable medication-related problems. The attendees will learn:

> Describe what changes as our body ages through our lives. > Explore how these changes impact appropriate medication use.
> Identify signs of medication-related problems that can be improved with a medication or dose change.
