BrightStar Care of Baltimore City/County, is a private duty home care agency that accepts a variety of Long Term Care, (LTC), Insurance policies. LTC Insurance is generally purchased later in life when an individual is in their 50’s or 60’s and they pay an annual premium to maintain the insurance.

We help our clients understand and process their Long Term Care Insurance (LTC) claim.  We can bill your LTC directly by sending the bill and required documentation directly to your insurance company.  There are two common payment scenarios that we encounter. An insurance companies may allot a sum of money to a policy holder who then may use the funds to pay for their services at BrightStar. The second, most common payment scenario is when a client has an LTC insurance policy that reimburses payments for services. To be fully reimbursed, caregiver notes must be dated and legible with explicitly stated activities of daily life, (ADL) coding that matches the Plan of Care to ensure correct reimbursement and billing. We then submit the documentation on your behalf on a weekly basis.

Other services include medication management, transitional care, safe discharge and transportation from the hospital or rehab facility, Post Op care both short and long term, Pre Operation and preparation help and assistance, transportation and assistance with outpatient medical procedures and surgeries and client monitoring for out of town family members.
