Fall Prevention Chattanooga

February 4, 2016
BrightStar Care of Chattanooga is passionate about educating the public. Any relevant, useful information we can pass along to the community will be shared in an effort to ease the burden of a caregiver. So many questions accompany a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, COPD, CHF, etc.  Our goal is to collaborate with other healthcare providers in the area so we can pass along their name and number if and when you need their assistance. Recently, I attended the Fall Prevention Chattanooga Partnership meeting held at the Chattanooga Fitness Center. Did you know that the Chattanooga Fitness Center cost only $1/day to visit? They have free weights, exercise classes, a lap pool and an outdoor walking trail.  Elaine Adams, Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator spoke about the additional programs they offer for those with special needs including wheelchair basketball, adaptive equipment and outdoor programs such as hiking, rock climbing and kayaking for Veterans. If you or a loved one is interested in learning more about the services BrightStar Care of Chattanooga offers, please feel free to contact our office at 423.296.6640. We are the only home care provider in the Chattanooga area that is accredited by the Joint Commission. In addition, all of our staff works under the supervision of our Nursing Director, Amy Diamondidis, RN.
