Autism, Art and Dog Shows

Recently, a story popped up of special interest to Linda Kunicki, Marketing Director for BrightStar Care of Chicago and La Grange.

Why was this particular story of significance?

Linda talks to families with pediatric or adult members who have Autism and sometimes need the respite care services of BrightStar Care. But this story had even greater significance because she also is a dog fancier who competes in conformation shows.  Linda’s Shelties aka Shetland Sheepdogs have earned Championships over the years.  She has also encouraged young people and cheered them on in Junior Showmanship.

Alec is the young man in the story that drew Linda’s attention. He not is Autistic but also shows his dogs and is an artist. As you will read he was given the special opportunity to do the artwork for the 2017 National Dog Show which will be broadcast on Thanksgiving Day on NBC Sports Network.
