Our Staff at BrightStar Care® Delray Beach

Amy Adaniel may have been born and raised in Staten Island, New York, but she is no stranger to the South Florida community. As graduate of Stony Brook University with a Bachelor of Science in Cardiorespiratory Sciences, Amy brought her medical propensity and professionalism down to South Florida and has been serving the communities of Broward and Palm Beach Counties since 1997.

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Amy worked at [now] Boca Regional before deciding to leave practice to pursue ownership of a Delray Beach Home Care Agency franchise, BrightStar Care, with her husband, Jesus, of almost 30 years this year. Since purchasing 15+ years ago, and operating BrightStar Care of Delray Beach since February 2007, Amy has gone above the call of duty to serve her clients in the best ways she can; becoming a Certified Senior Advisor, taking an involved role in the Alzheimer’s Association Southeast Chapter, and becoming an active Board Member for the American Parkinson’s Disease Association (APDA) South Florida Chapter, are just a few of the most prominent examples.

As the 2015 and 2016 Chair of the West Palm Beach Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Amy was a crucial component in the West Palm Beach Walk to End Alzheimer’s ability to become some of the most successful events in their time. Since the end of her Chair role, Amy has maintained a presence in the Committee as the Mission Chair, in addition to becoming an active Alzheimer’s Advocate on both the State, and Federal levels.

In addition to her professional and married life, Amy resides in Lake Worth, Florida and is also mother to Shayna, 27, a social worker and will be graduating with her BSN in June 2023, and to Matthew, 26. Amy is dog-mom to Cooper and Lamby, and grand pups Stella and Luna. Amy also enjoys traveling.

Denecia Anderson was born and raised in sunny South Florida. She is the youngest of 4 siblings and has a twin brother. She went to Florida International University where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Health Services Administration in 2017. Before coming to Brightstar Care of Delray Beach, she spent almost six years in the banking industry. She had a calling for homecare because she wanted to have a career where she could find fulfillment and give back to the community. It brings Denecia joy to know she had a hand in providing exceptional care to an individual. Her hobbies are dancing her heart out, listening to music, reading, writing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Patrice Gagnon was born and raised in Upstate New York. She has a strong family background in the medical field. Both her mother and sister were phenomenal nurses, and she strives to be like them. Patrice finds great joy in working with the elderly and building strong relationships with them. In her downtime she is “Mimi” to her four grandsons. She fosters kittens for Peggy Adams and loves her quiet time on the beach.

Marsha Fritz was born and raised in South Florida. She is the youngest of two children. She has worked in the medical field for many years and enjoys working with patients and caregivers. Marsha has been the first point of contact in several medical offices during her career assisting with referrals, authorizations and scheduling of visits and procedures. She has been working in the Home Health field for three years now and loves it. She enjoys the outdoors, loves art and craft shows, boating and snorkeling. The love of her life is her 1-year-old Shih Tzu, Oliver.

Gina Stone was raised in the Midwest, Kansas City, as was last of six children. Gina watched her mother take care of her uncle and grandmother as they aged. Caring for others was what she grew up learning how to do. She attended college at University of Kansas where she met her future husband, Jeff. She graduated from nursing school and pursued a career with Children’s Mercy Hospital in downtown Kansas City. She spent the early part of her career in the Pediatric Hematology Oncology unit, then the Same Day Surgery/Post Anesthesia Care Unit and later accepted a position in the Patient Advocate Department. Gina and her husband, Jeff, have 2 children, both grown. She and Jeff decided to relocate from Kansas City to South Florida in 2016. Gina took a position as an infusion nurse for BrightStar Care of Delray prior to accepting the position of Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care of Delray in October of 2017. Gina’s passion has always been to care for those who may not be able to speak for or advocate for themselves. Gina’s hobbies include anything dog related, wearing quirky T shirts, growing orchids, and spending time on the water, boating, with her husband.

Kathleen Garvey is originally from Massachusetts/Rhode Island & moved to Florida back in 2018.  She received her Bachelors in Legal Studies from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island in 2005 & received a full athletic scholarship for division 2 volleyball.  She began her career following in her mother's footsteps working in Hospice & Home Care & fell in love with the work she was doing & the people she worked with.  Before coming to Brightstar Care, Kathleen spent the last 18 years working in both Home Care & Hospice & has had the honor of working with some amazing people & being a part of taking care of people during their most difficult times.  Her hobbies include poker, playing volleyball, fishing & being a die-hard New England Patriots fan.

Sally Beers was born in Africa and has travel extensively throughout the world. Sally has a strong background in the medical field and finds fulfillment in helping others, especially our elderly population.  She enjoys building relationships with Brightstar Care clients in order to provide them with exceptional care. In her free time, she likes taking her dog Willy to the park and likes to spend time with her dad.
