I have a wound -Vac on my backside. The worst place I think you could have one. I have been through more pain, surgery and debridements than I can remember right now. Foam was left in the wound and I had to have that removed, that’s a white-knuckle moment.
They placed a Wound-Vac on, the best piece of equipment I have ever seen. But, it is a complicated dressing. BrightStar sent Sandy out to change this 3 times a week. I was very nervous after my previous nurse left foam behind.
Sandy is excellent at her job, she’s kind, caring and gentle. . She talks to me about just about anything to keep me focused on something besides what is taking place behind me. I absolutely give her the highest marks and stars I can…… she IS that good.
Sandy had been an absolute delightful addition to my care team.

We have been using Brightstar Care for over a year now and couldn't be any more pleased with the care given to my husband. Their office manager, Martina, has sent only the absolute BEST professionals to our house, the hospital and rehab when needed. She has gotten personally involved in his care plan, often collaborating with the nurses and even the owner when deciding the best course of action. We currently have Karlene G. as his caregiver and her kind demeanor and experience have been instrumental in maintaining his positive attitude. She is a joy to have in our lives! I few weeks ago we began looking for assistance caring for dad in his home. I called and spoke with Rhonda Bedrick. My hubs and I are both career nurses working in acute care, critical care hospital jobs. Rhonda asked pertinent questions and compassionately displayed her desire to meet dad's needs. She candidly spoke on the credentialing and certifications that are required of all BrightStar caregivers and employees. I liked that she wanted to come to dad's home to see the environment her staff would be working in and to formulate a plan of care for dad to maximize fulfilling his needs. I'd spoken with several other companies evaluating them to ensure the one we chose was right for dad. Unfortunately dad's health turned and his home is now in Heaven. However, following the conversation with Rhonda, I'm confident we would've proceeded with a relationship with BrightStar. Rhonda, thank you for your compassion, candor, and professionalism. Brightstar care has a wonderful line of nurses that have been coming out twice a week for me, Heather, Stacy, Maria, and Sandy have and are doing a wonderful job with my care at home and with their visits. My only complaint is the one time I had to have the on-call staff come out at 2 am, with 3 nurses available, no one called me back or showed up. Other then that one time, my care has been wonderful. 👍
