Nic and Alana Gay have been active in healthcare for many years in the bay area. Alana has managed and grew multiple ambulatory healthcare ventures. Prior to the healthcare industry, Alana managed two highly renowned hotels in Hollywood, CA for years. Her love for the hospitality industry has led to her genuine passion of taking care of others. She prides herself on building and sustaining well developed teams that maintain the highest compliance level, while servicing the community with highly skilled members. Alana’s husband Nic founded Silicon Valley Orthopedics as well as SimpleTherapy Inc. Dr. Nic trained at Baylor College of Medicine followed by the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Nic is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. Silicon Valley Orthopedics (SVO) provides state-of-the-art physician services, physical therapy, X-ray and MRI imaging as well as surgery center care under one roof. In addition, SVO is a leader in biologics including platelet-rich plasma and stem cell treatments as well as ROSA robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery. SimpleTherapy provides artificial intelligence-based exercise therapy in the comfort of the home for those that cannot afford physical therapy. SimpleTherapy counts Costco, Coca Cola, and many other Fortune 500 companies as clients for driving the best employee care.

When not attending to patient needs, they spend time with their newborn son Ty. Nic and Alana are thrilled to have their family take care of yours.

Matt Perreault and his wife Amanda (Perreault) opened BrightStar in Fremont, CA on Sept 23, 2020. Matt is a part owner of a CPA Firm (with 1,000+ employees) and Amanda spent the last 12+ years in medical sales in Silicon Valley. Although busy and successful, Matt and Amanda wanted to create a business they were passionate about, one where they “called all the shots” and provided an opportunity to create a family legacy. As they explored ideas, home healthcare and Brightstar emerged as the front-runner. When Matt and Amanda discussed the Brightstar franchise idea with Amanda’s sister, Alana and her husband, Nic, they immediately saw the vision and decided to Partner (50/50) in launching a new BrightStar in Fremont, CA. Nic is an Orthopedic surgeon, owns a Medical technology start-up and Alana spent the last 10+years managing multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers. As a whole, we were confident we had the leadership ability to meet of community’s needs for home health care.
Matt and Amanda are actively involved in their local church. Matt serves as director of international missions and he and Amanda participate in youth & marriage ministries and a variety of community outreach programs for underprivileged youth and families. They are active supporters of SF City Impact (https://www.sfcityimpact.com/), providing schooling and mentorship for inner city youth. Matt and Amanda started this business as way to express Gods love, both for the clients they care for, and their outstanding employees.

My name is Dalaney McKenzie and I grew up in Livermore with my family of eight. I received my B.A. from University of the Pacific while being a Children’s Director at Sunset Community Church, teaching and leading a large group of volunteers. After five years of enjoying that position, I became a preschool teacher and an “After-School-Care Program” Director. I have always had a passion for serving people and making people feel valued, which is why I love BrightStar! My husband, who is a first responder, and I are parents to a baby girl, who we are totally in love with. When I’m not creating or finding something to organize, I am hanging out with my family—relaxing or traveling. I am excited to work with you and help provide excellent care to meet your unique needs.

Hi, my name is Monica. I obtained my ADN at Butte College and am actively pursing my BSN degree. I have worked in healthcare for eight years and have held several healthcare positions. I have valued every position because it has allowed me to learn different skills sets and focus on patient-family centered care. 

My passion to care for others motivated me to pursue nursing. With the heart and desire to serve others, it allows me to give people the care and compassion they deserve. It truly is a fulfilling profession with endless opportunities. 

I grew up in Livermore, where I met my husband whom I’ve been married to for two years. Aside from working at BrightStar, I am working full time as an emergency room nurse.

I love traveling and nature, because it allows me to recharge, experience new things and meet people along the way. 

Hi! My name is Keven Hempel. I am the Sales and Marketing Manager for Fremont BrightStar Care. I am married to a beautiful wife and we have two daughters and a dog named Vytas. He's in charge when no one is home. I am an ultra runner and love extreme hiking. I also love to read and I consider myself a lifetime learner who will never retire. Why I do what I do? I am a contributor who loves to add value and impact to the world. How I do that is by finding better ways to help others and get  tasks done. What I ultimately do is grow trusting relationship with my team members, patients, clients and anyone I am involved with. At my core I am a forever optimist who always sees the bright side of situations even when it seems difficult to find the light. It has been said "Keven, you have alot of faith!" I can see that and I know when we have HOPE...anything is possible. 

I believe that we provide the most impactful care to each family, partner and client we work with and care for. Working at BrightStar Care has been one of the most exciting times of my life and I cannot wait to see what the future brings as we continue to add impact in our location for the surrounding communities and its members.
