This Home Care Team just completed our Dementia Training Class and participated in our Virtual Dementia Tour on December 4, 2019.

To be able to qualify to be part of  the class, the caregivers must complete 4 self-paced modules that include:

  1. Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease

  2. Understanding Dementia

  3. Understanding Delirium

  4. Recognizing and Managing Catastrophic Reactions

Once a BrightStar caregiver has completed the pre-work and has received a passing score of 70% or above, that is when they are eligible to sit for the 4 hour Dementia training with our Director of Nursing and to participate in the Virtual Dementia Tour. It is our belief that BrightStar caregivers who have gone through this training, are able to provide a higher level of care to our clients and their families who are dealing with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

BrightStar Care of Howard County proudly provides home health care and caregivers for people with Alzheimer's, including 24 hour skilled nursing and support in senior independent and assisted living communities.
