Non-medical caregivers are not required to have a formal license in the state of Texas. However, home health aides (HHAs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) do need state-approved certification and training in order to provide personal care assistance with BrightStar Care of Irving / Dallas Metro.
BrightStar Care of Irving / Dallas Metro strives to hire high-quality caregiving and nursing professionals to work with our home care clients. We expect all care providers to have the proper licensure, certification, and/or training in line with their position. Additionally, we require tuberculosis (TB) tests, drug screens, background checks, and CPR certification.
When scheduling shifts for our caregivers and nurses, we try to match availability and skills to our clients’ needs and the in-home services required. That said, we also want to be mindful of work-life balance, professional goals, consistent hours, and providing enough time for our care team to bond with their home care clients.
