Our personal experience with BrightStar has been exceptional. Professionals are what they are, from the initial phone call we made, almost one year ago, to today they have been by our side every step of the way. Leading us through this extremely worrying and concerning journey, they have made it a comforting and trusting experience. The care of our mother who is soon to be 100 (3/17/26) has been exemplary. The management has been thorough, knowledgeable, patient, explaining and answering each and every question or concern with a personal phone call , text or email. Each and every person that has been connected to our case has been easily available whenever the need. Everyone at BrightStar that we have reached out to has always known about our case or knew how to find the information or answers regarding our case. The caregivers work tirelessly, they are dedicated and always with a smile and light heartedness. They have cared for and shown our mom gentleness , kindness, respect, dignity and are knowledgeable. They offer mom time to process what they are asking her or saying to her, they don’t rush her. The caregivers learn about mom and what she likes. Some things the caregivers do is spend time reading to her, talking current events, taking her out to her patio to enjoy the outdoors. Sitting with her while she eats, always by her side. Paying attention to her, learning about her. Taking interest in our mom , not just as a client, but as a person. Mom has 24 hour care and that offers her many caregivers. To mention in particular certain people will be almost impossible, as each caregiver within their hearts and souls have touched our mother’s life beyond what our hopes and dreams could possibly have been. In saying that though, relationships and friendships are formed between two people in a most personal way. From our hearts and endless gratitude we mention Elizabeth, TP, Cecilia, Faby, Mariana, and Sabreen. To all of you that are members of the BrightStar family, we thank you. When we can’t be with our mom, you are our eyes to see her, our ears to hear her, our arms to hold her and your hearts to love her. Our mom thanks each one of you for these gifts you give her, and her family does as well.

My aunt and uncle were using Bright Star in California. When they returned to Illinois in October 2024 they needed to continue having caregivers so I met with Cheryl to sign the necessary paperwork. My uncle passed in January 2025 and was able to stay at home which was important to him. My aunt continues to use Bright Star. Larissa and Therese have been with her from the beginning. There have been a few staff changes due to people being on temporary leave. (Nora and Kemi). Julie is the newest caregiver. I'm thankful for all of them. My aunt can be difficult but they are patient and kind. I can also be difficult (haha) and I very much appreciate Ciara who listens to my concerns and helps find solutions.

Our final caregiver, Ayuna, was wonderful. She bonded well with my husband. They talked a lot & watched cooking/food shows. I am grateful for her help. Always upbeat & smiling.

I'm really appreciative of the care I get from my BrightStar Care nurse. Even though my health needs have complications at times, the staff is always very patient and calm with me during my infusions. I've been using BrightStar Care's services for a few months, and so far, it's been a pretty good experience.

Being in charge of eldercare is a thankless, challenging duty and BrightStar is such a wonderful (albeit, expensive) company that was there for us when we needed it most. From Cheryl and Ciara on the front end, getting our relative set up and cared for to Nadia and Dawn, just a few of the caregivers helping our relative. Nadia is so kind and Dawn is so helpful. Our experience with this company was excellent, starting with our very first meeting with Cheryl to learn about the company and, as it turned out, for them to learn about our family. This enabled them to match us with the best 24/7 caregivers, many of whom started with us right away in 2019 and stayed until our mother died during the 2025 holidays. Bola, Blanca, Nanette, Martha, Juanita, Sonia, Dominique, Fabi, and Julie, all became an extension of our family and we never worried when we could not be there because we knew our parents were being cared for with love and compassion. They played games, provided companionship and meals, and at the end, also provided much more hands-on care as needed. Working with the office staff for scheduling was always easy, and any requests we had were always handled with integrity and professionalism. We wholeheartedly recommend BrighStar Care for anyone looking for compassionate, professional, and reliable care for someone you love!
