My inspiration for founding BrightStar came from my dad, Ed Grubb who had to deal with the effects of Parkinson's Disease every day. I am very proud of having care for my dad and also for people across East Tennessee who need some help in their daily lives. My wife, Phylis and I live in Maryville and are both graduates of the University of Tennessee. 

With over 9 years of experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance and over 6 years in Home Health, I enjoy my position as QA / QC Manager with BrightStar. I am able to provide all our staff with OSHA training and quality assurance training to help ensure not only safety in the field but superior quality. I am also responsible for maintaining our highly acclaimed Joint Commission Accreditation. I have been to the Notary of Public for over 10 years. I look forward to working with our staff and clients at BrightStar and facing the everyday challenges in the Home Healthcare field.

I have worked in the home health profession for 8 years both as a home caregiver and as office staff. I have seen firsthand that BrightStar of Knoxville extends to both its clients and caregivers. I love my job and to know that we take care of people who need our help makes it rewarding. Looking forward to many years of assisting BrightStar make it the most excellent home health care company of choice in the Knoxville area.
