With a distinguished career spanning 17 years in nursing, Gerrilei Ahn possesses significant experience in the meticulous execution of physical, emotional, and psychosocial assessments. Her medical expertise has been cultivated through diverse roles within medical-surgical units, telemetry, post-operative care, and step-down units. Furthermore, her experience extends to conducting physical and cognitive evaluations for patients in their home environments, demonstrating a keen clinical insight into all facets of care. As a Registered Nurse, Gerrilei Ahn’s paramount passion lies in making a tangible difference in patient care and safety. She is a dedicated advocate for the health and well-being of her patients, prioritizing the importance of ensuring that patients and their families feel heard, supported, and cared for during times of vulnerability.

Aria Malagon serves as the Business Development Manager with BrightStar Care, where her personal and professional journey into healthcare reflects both a lifelong calling to help others and deeply meaningful family experiences.

Originally from Mexico, Aria moved to the United States at the age of 14. Even as a teenager, she carried a strong respect and admiration for seniors, drawn to their stories, wisdom, and the dignity they deserve. That respect grew into a true passion as her own family faced significant health challenges. When her father was diagnosed with kidney failure, Aria became one of his primary caregivers, assisting with at-home dialysis and supporting him through the challenges of his illness. She also cared for her husband’s grandmother following her stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis. These experiences gave Aria firsthand insight into both the demands and the profound rewards of caregiving. Toward the end of her father’s life, her family welcomed the support of a professional caregiver—an experience that left a lasting impression and showed her how transformative quality in-home care can be for both patients and families.

Inspired by these experiences, Aria began her professional path in healthcare in 2018 as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later earned her phlebotomy license. While raising two young children, she worked per diem to balance family life with her commitment to caring for others, and later pursued nursing school before transitioning into business administration. This shift allowed her to combine her clinical background with her passion for leadership and building meaningful connections.

Today, in her role as Business Development Manager, Aria is dedicated to supporting families, clients, and caregivers through BrightStar Care. Her work is more than a career—it is personal. Having sat in the shoes of a daughter, granddaughter, and wife searching for the right care, Aria understands the difference that skilled, compassionate caregivers make. She considers it a privilege to help families navigate challenging times while uplifting the caregivers who give so much of themselves every day. Through BrightStar Care, Aria fulfills her purpose: to connect with people, to extend a helping hand, and to ensure every senior receives the dignity, respect, and love they deserve.
