Shelley has been a registered nurse since 2004. She went back to school in 2022; earned her BSN in June 2024 and has held her critical care certification since 2017. Her nursing background includes critical care, flight nursing, infectious disease, home infusion, and clinical research. With two decades of ICU experience and a decade as a flight nurse, Shelley brings strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and expertise in caring for people with complex needs. She also has experience in patient and family education, care coordination, staff training, and process improvement. Shelley is excited to bring her nursing experience to the role as Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care of Lane, Linn, and Benton Counties and to help support a safe, skilled, and compassionate clinical team. Her goal is to prioritize excellent care while ensuring that patients and families feel heard, respected, and confident in the care they receive. Shelley has been in Eugene since 2019 and enjoys everything the great Oregon outdoors has to offer including hiking, paddle boarding, and exploring in her Jeep. She has two fur babies; Cooper, a Boxer mix and Lola, a Huskey Shepherd mix. Shelley's favorite Core Values are Do The Right Thing and Be Open and Positive.
