Happy Nurse's Day

May 6, 2020
Nurses Day feels a little bit different this year. Although nurses have always been viewed as heroes in our communities, this year we all got a glimpse of their calling to care for others and their commitment to public health.
IMG_3294.jpgToday our team spent time delivering thank you bags to our nurses. Social distancing changed our normal celebrations of lunches, hugs, and handshakes to drive through pick up of gift bags and front porch deliveries. No masks could hide our smile as we personally thanked IMG_0261.JPGEVERY team member and honored them today. However, we believe, they should be recognized every day.

As an organization we know what makes us who we are is who we serve our community with and with that in mind we have created programs to honor our team.

Shining Star Program

This program was developed to be an open nomination of team members who demonstrate our core values or go above and beyond to care for our clients. Nurses nominate each other and based on votes of nominations 1 individual will win that month’s Shining Star.

Every Year Matters

We know there are many options to work as a nurse and we want to celebrate the yearly anniversaries of our team. Every year we recognize you with a pin to commemorate your years of service. After 2 years we provide unique gifts as a thank you. We honored to not only be able to celebrate team members who reached their 1-year milestone but over 10 years!

Open Doors

One of the best ways to show our appreciation is to simply be available and listen. From our care coordinators and case managers to owner Lonny Kane, our team members have on demand access to provide feedback and pray with our staff on their schedule. Both in person and digital forms, our team can communicate their needs.
From the foundation of nursing with Florence Nightingale and Clara Barton to this year’s graduates who will not be able to walk a stage for achieving their nursing license. We thank you. To all of our nurses, we know nursing is a work of heart and we are thankful that you have chosen to nurse with BrightStar Care Lubbock.
