Laken Wehrmann
Regional Manager of Clinical Operations - WII was working at a facility in the Janesville area when I first heard of BrightStar. There was a nurse on my floor that was from BrightStar Staffing and this individual left such a positve impression I was inspired to do more research on the organization! I have worked in many different healthcare settings. Throughout my time at BrightStar, I've found that the part I enjoy the most as an RN Case Manager is coordinating the 1-to-1 individualized care we provide. I’m excited to contribute to greater levels of clinical excellence through my role as Assistant Director of Nursing.

Missey Russell
Customer Care ManagerI joined the BrightStar team in April 2023, coming from a position as Director of Housing for a Nonprofit organization. When considering a career change yet knowing that I still wanted to help make a change in the lives of others, I engaged in conversation with a previous employee of BrightStar who spoke of the higher standards of care provided not only to the clients but the direct care staff. I bring with me experience as a CNA, Mental Health & Substance Abuse counselor, & Health Care Administration. In my spare time, I’m an entrepreneur & Owner of “Blended Sisters” Soul Food Catering. I find cooking to be very therapeutic for me. Additionally, I also provide Community Supportive services, volunteer for events for homeless Vets, and enjoy spending time with family as they are everything to me & are my reason to Thrive!
