I recently returned to BrightStar Care after working here as a Recruiter from 2007-2015. I truly found my passion for serving others after realizing the impact we made by providing quality job opportunities for our CNA, nurses, and medical support staff. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in Business Administration and have spent the last 16 years working in Human Resources, with a focus in talent management and employee relations. My goal is to ensure that our hiring and onboarding provides the ultimate experience for our caregiving and nursing staff and that we make lasting impressions on those who work for BrightStar Care for years to come. 

I came to BrightStar Care with over 20 years of expertise in healthcare leadership and business development. My experience working in payor, technology, and provider segments provides a unique understanding of the healthcare system.  I am passionate about providing exceptional care and delivering the best possible outcomes to clients, families, and community partners. My goal is to ensure BrightStar operations are client-centered, compassionate, and focused on delivering a higher standard of care.

Angelo Johnson is a seasoned Physical Therapist with 20 years of experience across hospitals, home care, and nursing homes. In addition to his extensive clinical background, he brings over two decades of expertise in pharmaceuticals, hospice, and home health, making him uniquely skilled at understanding the full continuum of patient care.

Highly motivated and resultsdriven, Angelo is known for his ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively with healthcare partners, and drive measurable growth. His blend of clinical insight and marketing experience allows him to bridge gaps between providers, clients, and care teams—ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional service.

Angelo’s passion for referral development and client engagement fuels his commitment to helping individuals access the care and support they need with confidence and compassion.

Ruthie Scoville is a dedicated Registered Nurse Care Manager at BrightStar Care of Madison, where she focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to clients. With over 21 years of experience in the nursing field, Ruthie brings a wealth of knowledge and a diverse skill set to her role. She is passionate about sharing her expertise with others to ensure exceptional care for clients, while continuously learning and growing professionally.

Outside of work, Ruthie enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and pets, often seeking out new adventures and creating lasting memories. She is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of everyone she meets

Since joining BrightStar Care in 2015, I’ve had the privilege of growing through several impactful roles—including Customer Care Manager, Customer Experience Manager, and now Branch Manager of BrightStar Care of Madison. With nearly two decades of Early Childhood Center management experience and a foundation as a Certified Nursing Assistant, I bring a deep understanding of both compassionate care and strong operational leadership.

My career has been shaped by a commitment to service, family support, and building high-performing teams rooted in empathy, professionalism, and accountability. As Branch Manager, I lead our Madison team in delivering exceptional home care services, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and consistently outstanding client experience. I am passionate about mentoring staff, strengthening community partnerships, and creating a culture where caregivers feel valued and supported.

Every day, I’m driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of the clients and families we serve. I am proud to lead a team dedicated to reliability, compassion, and the highest standards of care.

Laken first discovered BrightStar while working at a healthcare facility in the Janesville area. A BrightStar Staffing nurse on the unit made such a strong positive impression—through professionalism, compassion, and dedication—that Laken felt inspired to learn more about the organization and its standards of care.

With experience across many different healthcare settings, Laken has developed a deep appreciation for individualized, client-centered support. Throughout Laken’s time at BrightStar, the greatest fulfillment has come from the RN Case Manager role, where Laken coordinated truly personalized 1-to-1 care and built meaningful relationships with clients and families.

Now serving as Regional Manager of Clinical Operations - WI, Laken is excited to advance BrightStar’s mission of clinical excellence. Laken is passionate about supporting care teams, strengthening clinical quality, and ensuring every client receives the exceptional, compassionate care BrightStar is known for.

I joined the BrightStar team in April 2023, coming from a position as Director of Housing for a Nonprofit organization. When considering a career change yet knowing that I still wanted to help make a change in the lives of others, I engaged in conversation with a previous employee of BrightStar who spoke of the higher standards of care provided not only to the clients but the direct care staff. I bring with me experience as a CNA, Mental Health & Substance Abuse counselor, & Health Care Administration. In my spare time, I’m an entrepreneur & Owner of “Blended Sisters” Soul Food Catering. I find cooking to be very therapeutic for me. Additionally, I also provide Community Supportive services, volunteer for events for homeless Vets, and enjoy spending time with family as they are everything to me & are my reason to Thrive!

As a Customer Care Manager, I work closely with BrightStar Care clients, caregivers, and families to ensure their needs are supported with clarity, compassion, and consistent communication. My goal is to provide the guidance and coordination needed for services to run smoothly and successfully.
One of my favorite parts of this role is serving as a liaison between clients and caregivers—helping build meaningful connections and supporting relationships that grow over time. I am passionate about delivering exceptional care and creating the best possible outcomes for everyone we serve, from clients and families to our dedicated staff.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with my family.

Ali has always been driven by a deep passion for helping others. She began her healthcare journey as a CNA in the Neuro ICU at UW Hospital, where she learned the importance of compassionate care, strong teamwork, and supporting patients during some of their most challenging moments.

Alongside her clinical experience, Ali brings a strong background in office management. Her organizational skills, clear communication, and ability to keep operations running smoothly make her a reliable resource for both caregivers and the families BrightStar serve.

After starting with BrightStar as a caregiver, Ali quickly realized she wanted to make an even bigger impact. Now serving in the Customer Care Manager role, she is excited to guide and encourage caregivers while ensuring clients receive the highest quality of care.

Outside the office, Ali is a proud mom to her sports-loving boys. She also provides respite and foster care for children in need—a meaningful part of her life that reflects her commitment to supporting and uplifting others.
