Marcella’s journey began in her 20s as a caregiver, fueling a lifelong passion for seniors. After earning a BA in International Business and certificates in Project Management and Human Resources (HR), she worked in finance for 10 years and HR for 8 years. Marcella now uses this diverse expertise to provide a higher standard of care at her own BrightStar Care agency in San Diego, CA

Iris Marika Navarro, RN, BSN, CNOR, is our Nurse Manager with 19 years of experience. A graduate of Northern Illinois University, she brings extensive expertise in clinical assessment and a proactive approach to patient care. Her passion lies in making meaningful connections with clients and their families. Iris is committed to ensuring every person feels safe, respected, and fully supported.

A San Diego State University alumni, Philip also holds an MBA with an emphasis in Information Systems from Northern Arizona University. His diverse career includes roles in sales and staffing, along with extensive experience as a software engineer. Philip leverages this unique blend of financial and technical expertise to drive the agency’s success.

Julianna's commitment to excellence and community is evident in every aspect of her life. From the discipline of her years as a competitive gymnast—a journey that began at age 4, to the spirit of teamwork she learned as a JV cheerleader at Cathedral High School, she brings a powerful skill set to her support role at our BrightStar Care agency. Her dedication to service, developed through her involvement in the Girl Scouts, is the driving force behind her work. She channels this passion into her role, providing essential support to our clients and staff and helping to reflect BrightStar’s “Higher Standard” care.
