Carmen grew up as the oldest daughter with two younger brothers, which naturally developed her knack for taking care of others and helping around the house. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force on a six-year contract. Her passion for caretaking led her to the field of Public Health within preventative medicine, where she quickly realized she had even more to offer. This sparked her desire to be directly involved at the bedside, so she cross-trained into Respiratory Therapy.

In her new role, Carmen specialized in ventilator management within the ICU, burn units, and emergency departments. After spending four years honing her skills at a large military hospital, she transitioned to working in local civilian hospitals. Along the way, she started her own family and continued to pursue her love for patient care.

Some of Carmen's most cherished moments in her career have been those that confirmed she had found her calling. These experiences are ones she’s always happy to share with others. After spending a few years at home with her children, Carmen returned to the hospital setting she had missed so much. After time spent in both a rehabilitation hospital and a community hospital, she realized she wanted to do even more for her patients. Many of them wanted to go home, and she was determined to learn everything she could to help them get there.

Home care has allowed Carmen to bring her experience full circle, and she is thrilled to play a role in helping people return to the one place they most want to be—home. It is truly an honor for her to provide care in the home setting, offering families the relief and peace of mind they deserve.
