Our family is deeply grateful to BrightStar for the exceptional care they provided to our mother during the final months of her life. When it became clear that Mom needed 24/7 care, my brother and I began exploring care options. I was in Atlanta at the time and we met with Margie Wills from BrightStar. From our very first conversation, I was impressed by her professionalism, knowledge, compassion, and genuine concern for both Mom and our family. In fact, after meeting with Margie, we felt so confident in BrightStar that we never felt the need to personally meet with any of the other providers we had been considering. We knew we had found the right partner. That confidence proved to be well-founded. From the beginning, the BrightStar team was responsive, dependable, and easy to work with. As Mom’s needs changed, they adapted quickly and thoughtfully. Whenever we had questions, concerns, or needed to make adjustments, someone was always available to help. Although my brother was in Atlanta overseeing Mom’s day-to-day care and I had to return home Washington State for a few weeks, BrightStar worked seamlessly with both of us. Their communication was excellent, and they helped us coordinate care across the miles with confidence and peace of mind. Most importantly, they treated Mom with dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion. During one of the most important and emotional seasons of our lives, we knew she was being cared for by people who truly cared about her as a person. The caregivers helped me stay connected with her through FaceTime calls when I was back home in Washington State. One example will stay with me forever. On the day she passed away, Shanique graciously enabled me to talk with Mom just hours before her death. That precious conversation gave me the opportunity to once again tell Mom how much I loved her and to say goodbye. That gift is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Because of BrightStar, our family was able to spend less time worrying about logistics and more time focusing on Mom. We will always be grateful for the care, professionalism, and heartfelt support they provided. I recommend BrightStar without hesitation.
