July 2025 Employee of the Month

We are thrilled to recognize Dan B. as our July Employee of the Month at BrightStar Care of Northern Michigan! Dan brings warmth, dependability, and heart to everything he does—and we’re excited to share more about what makes him such a valued member of our team.

Dan’s journey into caregiving began after caring for a close elderly friend until their passing. That experience, paired with the joy he finds in caring for his wife, Melissa, since 2011, inspired him to continue helping others. Caregiving runs in his family—his mother is a hospice aide—so compassion is clearly in his nature.

Since joining BrightStar Care, Dan has stood out for his outstanding attendance, schedule flexibility, and willingness to help wherever needed. He completes all of his monthly Relias trainings and regularly checks in with the office to offer support or cover open shifts.

His commitment doesn’t go unnoticed. One client shared, “I am very happy with [Dan’s] care and [Dan] always completes all of the tasks before leaving for the day. We appreciate him.”

Dan says, “I love working for BrightStar because it is family-oriented and everyone is willing to help each other.” In his spare time, he enjoys playing Bingo with Melissa and unwinding with video games.
