At BrightStar Care of Northern Michigan, we are proud to highlight Arianna—Arie—Kopfman, one of our dedicated Home Health Aides and Caregivers.
Arie has been married to her husband, Zachary, for nearly seven years. Together, they are raising three beautiful daughters — Avereigh, Charlee, and Ryleigh — who keep life busy and full of energy. Their lively household also includes one cat named Smokey, a rooster named Larry, two ducks (Quackers and Waddles), and about seven to nine chickens.
As a Home Health Aide/Caregiver, Arie’s primary responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal preparation and cleanup, ensuring essential items are always within her client’s reach, and most importantly, helping her client feel as comfortable as possible. She takes great pride in providing care during the moments her client needs it most.
Her favorite part of the job is building a strong foundation with both her client and his family. Knowing that she is making a meaningful difference — and hearing from family members that she is doing a wonderful job — brings her deep fulfillment and reassurance that she is exactly where she is meant to be.
Arie grew up in Mecosta, Michigan, a small village in Mecosta County located about 20–25 minutes from Big Rapids. In June of 2018, she and Zachary moved to Manistee to be closer to his family and work.
A fun fact about Arie is that she is extremely shy when first meeting someone. However, once she becomes comfortable, her warm and caring personality truly shines. If she could choose to be any superhero, she would pick Superwoman — because as a mom of three energetic girls, she feels like she could benefit from super-human strength, speed, and endurance.
Some of the best advice Arie has ever received is:
“Be you; don’t change for anyone. If they don’t like you for you, they are not worth it.”
And, “Leave the past behind you and move forward with your life.”
Arie has been with BrightStar Care for three years and says she absolutely loves her job. She describes it as a place filled with happiness, support, and understanding. She deeply appreciates being able to speak openly with the office team about any concern, big or small. Most importantly, BrightStar Care has given her the opportunity to prioritize being a mom while also contributing financially to her household.
From the bottom of her heart, Arie is grateful to BrightStar Care for taking a chance on her, working around her husband’s schedule, and allowing her to be a mom first and a caregiver next.
We are honored to have Arie as part of our BrightStar Care family.
