Shamille was born and raised in Ocala and has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. She began her healthcare journey working as a caregiver in a group home for two years before pursuing her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). After working as an LPN for three months, she returned to school to earn her Registered Nurse (RN) degree, followed by her bachelor’s degree, and ultimately her master’s degree in nursing (MSN).

 Throughout her nursing career, Shamille has gained experience in home care, skilled nursing facilities, and medical daycare settings. She has also successfully operated her own home health agency and adult day training facility, providing companion services, personal support services, respite care, skilled respite care, and transportation services. She is passionate about providing compassionate, quality care and continuously advancing her knowledge in the nursing profession. Her dedication to healthcare and community support reflects her passion for improving the quality of life for those she serves.
 
Outside of work, Shamille enjoys caring for her mother, sketching, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Nic Porfilio is the Branch Manager at BrightStar Care in Belleview Florida. With a strong commitment to quality care and service excellence, Nic leads the local team in delivering compassionate, clientcentered care to individuals and families throughout the community. Known for a handson leadership style and focus on accountability, Nic works closely with caregivers and staff to ensure BrightStar Care’s high standards are met every day. Nic is passionate about supporting clients’ independence, dignity, and safety, while building meaningful relationships with families, referral partners, and the community.

Originally born in Atlanta, Stephani moved to Ocala at a young age and has proudly called this community home ever since. Stephani has spent the majority of her career in the healthcare field with a strong focus on marketing, relationship building, and helping others. She is passionate about being a trusted, dependable, and compassionate resource for physicians, social workers, case managers, patients, and families throughout the community.

Stephani understands the importance of providing reliable support to healthcare professionals while also helping families feel informed, organized, and confident when navigating care for themselves or their loved ones. Her dedication to homecare comes from both professional and personal experience.

After serving as a caregiver for her father for three years, Stephani experienced firsthand the challenges families face when trying to access safe, reliable homecare services. That experience became the driving force behind her mission to help others find the support, guidance, and compassionate care they deserve.
In her personal time, Stephani enjoys being outdoors and surrounded by nature. Whether hiking, paddleboarding, boating, or spending quality time with her family, she values the balance and peace that comes from enjoying life’s simple moments.
