From infants to adolescents, BrightStar Care® of Sacramento / Carmichael cares for children of all ages and conditions. We offer high-quality in-home care and skilled pediatric nursing services for children with illnesses, disabilities, special needs, complex medical conditions, and those who have recently been hospitalized throughout the greater Sacramento region.

Our experienced pediatric nurses are fully-screened, certified, licensed and trained to support newborns, children, and teenagers through hourly skilled nursing, private duty nursing (PDN), extended shift care, and physician-directed home health services. BrightStar Care® of Sacramento / Carmichael also services Medi-Cal/EPSDT nursing for eligible children.

Transition from Hospital to Home

We help children safely transition back home after recent treatment, surgery, or hospitalization by working closely with children's hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, case managers, and families. When skilled nursing care is needed, we work to coordinate care as quickly as possible to reduce challenges for families seeking pediatric support.

Skilled Pediatric Nursing Care

Many medically complex children can remain safely at home with their families with the right pediatric nursing care. When appropriate, private duty nursing offers an alternative to long-term pediatric facility placement or hospitalization, helping children receive the same high-acuity care, but within the comfort of their own home. These services can be supplied on an hourly basis so that you can tend to your family, go to work, participate in activities, or address your own care needs.

Special Needs Care

From bathing, grooming, and oral hygiene to toileting, transferring, and mobility assistance, our pediatric caregivers are trained to support children with disabilities and special needs. In addition, our pediatric nurses can monitor conditions and offer guidance on care plan adjustments.
