Non-medical caregivers are not required to have a formal license in the state of Minnesota. Though, some in-home caregivers—like home health aides (HHAs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs)—may be required to complete state-approved training programs. 

To work with BrightStar Care of St. Croix Valley, all caregivers must pass a background check, drug screen, and tuberculosis (TB) test, as well as have current CPR certification.

Yes, our St. Croix Valley care team is overseen by a Director of Nursing, a registered nurse (RN), who offers clinical oversight and guidance for all home care plans. Our caregivers and nurses benefit from working in this environment because they’re able to get immediate feedback on patient conditions, providing care, and any home care plan adjustments.
