April is a special time to recognize and honor the sacrifices made by Military Children. As we observe the Month of the Military Child, BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula proudly stands alongside all our local military families in Monterey County to offer unwavering support to the little ones of those who give so much in service to our country.

For families enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), the challenges of military life can be even more demanding. Having a child or dependent with special needs requires additional resources, stability, and compassionate care—something that can be difficult to access amidst the transitions and relocations that come with military service.

That’s where we step in.

Respite and Home Care Support Tailored for Military Families

BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is honored to be a fully credentialed in-network provider with TriWest, ensuring that military families have access to high-quality, compassionate care here in our community. We offer a range of services designed to provide relief and support to parents and caregivers of exceptional family members.

  • Respite Care – Giving parents and caregivers the opportunity to rest and recharge while ensuring their loved one receives expert, compassionate care.

  • Personal Care Assistance – Helping with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and meal preparation.

  • Companion Services – Engaging individuals in enriching activities, fostering social connections, and reducing feelings of isolation.

A Community That Cares

We understand that military life can often feel as though one is alone in life’s challenges, especially families navigating the complexities of special needs care. Our mission is to provide not just professional support, but also a true sense of community and belonging. BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is committed to easing this burden for families, ensuring that military dependents receive the highest standard of care they deserve while allowing caregivers the peace of mind to also focus on their wellbeing.

This April as we celebrate the Month of the Military Child, we extend our gratitude to the resilient ones who inspire us and to the parents who dedicate themselves to their care.
