This past Saturday, October 18, 2025, our BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula team proudly joined the community at Custom House Plaza for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Monterey. What an incredible day it was—filled with hope, unity, and purpose.

Walking Together for a Cause That Matters

As proud sponsors of this year’s walk, we were humbled to stand beside hundreds of families, caregivers, and advocates committed to ending Alzheimer’s and all other dementias. Seeing so many people come together—each with their own stories, memories, and motivations—was deeply inspiring.

The energy was contagious. From the first check-in smiles to the final steps of the route, every moment was a reminder of why we walk: to honor loved ones, to support caregivers, and to fuel progress toward a world without Alzheimer’s.

Gratitude to Our Team and Community

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our BrightStar Care team members who walked, volunteered, and cheered throughout the morning. Your compassion and dedication truly shine. Many of you walked for someone special—parents, grandparents, friends—and your commitment embodies what our mission is all about: caring with purpose and heart.

We also want to thank the Alzheimer’s Association for organizing such a meaningful event and to everyone who stopped by our tent for water, snacks, and purple spirit gear. Meeting so many community members, caregivers, and supporters reminded us that none of us walk this journey alone.

A Memorable Day at Custom House Plaza

The Promise Garden Ceremony was one of the most moving moments of the morning. Watching the colorful flowers wave in the sea breeze—each color symbolizing a personal connection to the disease—brought tears and hope in equal measure. It was a beautiful symbol of remembrance, resilience, and unity.
The route itself was alive with laughter, music, and families walking side by side—proof that compassion and community can create real change.

Keeping the Momentum Going

Though the walk is over, our commitment continues. Alzheimer’s impacts millions of families every day, and there’s still work to be done. We encourage everyone to keep the conversation going, make a donation, or volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association throughout the year.

If you weren’t able to attend, you can still support our team’s fundraising efforts:
