BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula was proud to participate in the Seniors Resource Fair & Veterans Connect at the Monterey County Fair on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
It was a wonderful opportunity to meet so many seniors, veterans, family members, caregivers, and community partners from throughout Monterey County. We appreciated everyone who stopped by our table to introduce themselves, ask questions, learn more about our services, and discuss the care and support options available for themselves or their loved ones.
Connecting Our Community With Home Care Resources
Events like the Seniors Resource Fair & Veterans Connect provide an important opportunity for families to learn about the many resources available in our community.
Our BrightStar Care team enjoyed speaking with attendees about how home care can help seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, supported, and independent at home.
We were able to provide information and answer questions about services available through BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula, including:
- Personal care and companion care
- Respite care for family caregivers
- Transportation and assistance with daily activities
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s care
- Post-hospital and post-surgical support
- Skilled nursing services
- Support for veterans and their families
Every individual and family has different needs, and we appreciate the opportunity to help people better understand the care options that may be available to them.

We especially enjoyed connecting with the veterans and military families who attended the event.
BrightStar Care of The Monterey Peninsula is proud to support veterans who may need additional assistance to continue living safely and comfortably at home. Depending on individual needs and eligibility, services may include personal care, companionship, respite care, transportation, assistance with daily activities, and skilled nursing care.
Our team can also help veterans and their families understand the process of beginning home care services and coordinate with appropriate resources when needed.
Building Stronger Connections Throughout Monterey County
One of the highlights of the event was having the opportunity to connect not only with seniors and veterans, but also with the many organizations that serve our local community.
With more than 35 community services and programs represented, the Seniors Resource Fair & Veterans Connect demonstrated how many dedicated organizations are working together to support seniors, veterans, caregivers, and families throughout Monterey County.
