At BrightStar Care of Conejo Valley and Coastal Los Angeles, we are proud to stand alongside those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. This year, our teams participated in two impactful Walks to End Alzheimer’s—one in Conejo Valley and another in Hermosa Beach, where we raised awareness and funds to support vital research and care.
The excitement kicked off before the walk even started! The Alzheimer’s Kickoff Party was a huge success, drawing a crowd of supporters ready to raise awareness and show their commitment to the cause. Whether through donations, participation, or just showing up to support, the energy at the event was truly palpable. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to making this such a memorable and impactful gathering.
We are excited to share that 25 of our team members took part in the Conejo Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raising $8,076—the 2nd highest fundraising total of the event! With 570 participants and 92 teams, the community really came together to make a significant impact. This year, we walked in honor of Susan Magpiong, whose strength and spirit inspire us all. Her photo was featured in the Promise Garden, a touching reminder of why we walk—for hope, for love, and for a cure.
73% of all funds raised from the event went directly to Alzheimer’s research, helping advance the mission to find a cure.

Meanwhile, the Hermosa Beach Pier came alive with energy, hope, and community spirit at the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s—Beach Cities. Hundreds of families, caregivers, advocates, and local organizations gathered, all united in the mission to end Alzheimer’s disease.
We were proud to sponsor the event, setting up a booth along the walk route to offer information, support, and resources to participants. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community and reaffirm our commitment to compassionate care for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Our BrightStar Care team showed up in full force—walking, volunteering, and cheering on participants. Their dedication reflects our core values and mission to go above and beyond for families facing memory-related challenges.
